108 ambulance crew donate blood to elderly man and give him a new life
Sambalpur: 108 ambulance crew have become angels for an elderly patient. Bishnu Pradhan (65), son of late Brindaban Pradhan of Khandhat village under Redhakhol block of Sambalpur district, was suffering from chronic kidney disease along with severe anemia and was undergoing treatment at Redhakhol Hospital. When his condition suddenly deteriorated there, Dr AK Rout, who was treating him, advised him to immediately collect blood from the A’positive blood group. However the patient’s relatives were worried as the same blood group was not available in the hospital. At the same time, a 108 ambulance from Charmal area came to Redhakhol Hospital with another patient and an employee of the hospital informed the ambulance’s assistant Kshitish Pradhan about the patient. Fortunately, his blood group was also A’positive. Therefore, the family members of the patient requested the ambulance staff to donate blood. Without any delay, ambulance crew, Kshitish immediately came forward and donated blood. It is because of his humanity that the patient has got a new lease of life.
