Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India announces its lineup for 2024 International Racing Championships
4 of India’s young talented riders set to vie for glory in the 2024 season of Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC), Asia Talent Cup (ATC) and Thailand Talent Cup (TTC)
Bhubaneswar: In a bold move to cultivate iconic Indian riders for the global stage, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India unveils its international racing squad for the 2024 season.
Prepared to demonstrate their skill on the international racing circuit, four riders from IDEMITSU Honda Racing India will take on the top competitors from across Asia in the 2024 FIM Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC), Thailand Talent Cup (TTC) and Asia Talent Cup (TTC).
The lone Indian Contingent – IDEMITSU Honda Racing India for the AP250cc class of 2024 ARRC season features the promising young talent Kavin Samaar Quintal, reigning champion of Honda India Talent Cup 2023. Having competed in the 2023 ARRC, he clinched the 16th position out of 37 global contenders. He also represented India in Asia Talent Cup, 2022.Joining him in the pit will be Mohsin Paramban, the second runner-up in the Honda India Talent Cup, 2023. Mohsin, who also represented Honda Racing India in the 2023 ARRC, secured the 30th spot among 37 competitors.
Providing a gateway to elevate their skills and accelerate their career growth of budding Indian riders onto the Asian stage, Honda Racing India’s rising star Rakshith Dave will embark on his maiden international journey by debuting in both 2024 Asia Talent Cup and the Thailand Talent Cup. His notable achievement includes securing the first runner-up position in the Honda India Talent cup 2023.Accompanying him will be Johann Reeves Emmanuel who clinched the 5th position Honda India Talent Cup. He will be exclusively participating in the Thailand Talent Cup.
About 2024 Asia Talent Cup
The Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup, which started in 2014, is a motorcycle road racing competition intended for young participants in Asia and Oceania. It is a series for riders aged between 14 and 17 years old, who compete in five rounds alongside the FIM MotoGP World Championship, with one round on the Malaysian Superbike. Each ATC round consists of two races, following the same points system as MotoGP™, and riders use Honda NSF250R Moto3 machines.
About 2024 Thailand Talent Cup
The Thailand Talent Cup is a motorcycle racing series designed to nurture young talent and provide them with a platform to showcase their skills on an international level. It brings together riders from various Asian countries on the Honda NSF250 platform to compete for the Cup. The race consists of 6 rounds held at different circuits in Thailand.
About 2024 FIM Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC): The 27th edition of FIM Asia Road Racing Championship is Asia’s most competitive motorcycle road racing championship, held since 1996. The 2024 season will have a total of six rounds beginning with the official test and season opener at the Chang International Circuit (Thailand) from 15-17 March 2024. In April 2024, the Zhuhai International Circuit, China will host the second leg. The host venue for Round 3 in June 2024 will be held at the Mobility Resort Motegi, Japan. Round 4, 5 and 6 will be held in July, September and December in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand, respectively.
