TPWODL Inaugurates Hands-on Technical Training Centre (HoTT) for Safety at Workplace and Technical Excellence
Burla, 16.01.2025: To enhance safety at workplace and technical excellence, TP Western Odisha Distribution Limited (TPWODL) has started a state-of-the-art hands-on technical training centre (HoTT) at Attabira under Bargarh district. The same training centre has been inaugurated by Mr. Parveen Verma, CEO, TPWODL in presence of Mr. Suresh Khetwani, Chief Safety (T&D) TATA Power; Mr. Debi Prasad Acharya, Head Corporate Safety, Odisha Discom, along with other senior officials and employees of TPWODL.
This initiative marks a new chapter in TPWODL’s commitment to operational excellence and safety of its workforce across Western Odisha. The HoTT is designed to provide practical, real-time training to TPWODL’s technical workforce, like all electricians, linemen, & helpers ensuring the company’s ‘Mission Zero Accident’ vision. The centre integrates theoretical knowledge with practical application, equipping employees with skills necessary to perform their duties efficiently with safety norms.
The facility will simulate real working conditions in the power distribution sector, offering everything from classroom-based learning to a practice yard where workers can operate on replicas of Low Tension (LT) and High Tension (HT) distribution networks. This will ensure employees to gain experience with the real time tools they will use on a daily basis.
This may be noted that, the company has set up practice yards for the training of linemen and helpers in every division in western Odisha.

On this occasion, he has also announced that similar technical training centre are in the verge completion at Rourkela, Sambalpur, Bolangir, and Kalahandi and they will made operational shortly.
