To declare the winners under ‘Pay & Win’ scheme for the month of February 2025, TP Western Odisha Distribution Limited (TPWODL), the power distribution company in western Odisha organized a press conference today at its head office of Commercial Department, Sambalpur. Mr. Parveen Kumar Verma, the Chief Executive Officer of company, along with other heads of departments were also present on the occasion.
Mr. Parveen Verma, CEO, TPWODL has announced that the number of winners for the month of March will be doubled. That means, for the month of March, the number of lucky winners under this scheme will be 6 instead of 3 in each sub-division of TPWODL.
For the month of February 5,50,585 consumers from across western Odisha were eligible under the scheme. Out of which 171 consumers were selected as winners from 57 sub-divisions through automated computer generated lucky-draw. From the above number 88,126 consumers from Balangir electrical circle, 34,235 from Bargarh, 1,09,302 from Kalahandi, 1,89,971 from Rourkela and 1,28,951 from Sambalpur electrical circle is eligible under the scheme.
Again, from those eligible consumers 33 winners from Balangir, 27 winners form Bargarh, 30 winners form Kalahandi, 39 winners form Rourkela, and 42 winners form Sambalpur circle were selected in the presence of media persons through automated computer generated lucky-draw. All those winners will be invited to the nearest TPWODL office in the next 7 days and prizes shall be handover. The names of all the customers will also be available on the company’s website soon.
The company aims to pass on a message to all the consumers to pay their electricity bills every month. This scheme is only to motivate consumers to pay their monthly electricity bills. It is essential to pay, so that the overall objective at AT&C loss in reduce and the distribution company will generate adequate revenue for the entire power failure to strengthen the infrastructure in generation, transmission and distribution. The consumers are awarded with a smart phone as the first prize, a Saregama Karma as the second prize and a solar lamp as the third prize under the ‘Pay & Win’ scheme.
