Jajpur VTC Graduates Felicitated for Their Journey towards Self-Reliance
Jajpur – June 3, 2025 – A heartfelt felicitation ceremony was held at TPNODL’s Vocational Training Centre (VTC) in Jajpur to honour over 250 young individuals who successfully completed their training under the ROSHNI program. The event, held under the guidance of TPNODL CEO Mr. Dwijadas Basak, celebrated not just the culmination of a course, but the beginning of a brighter, self-reliant future for these trainees.
During the ceremony, Mr. Basak emphasized the transformative power of education and skill development. “The certificate you receive today may be a piece of paper, but the skills and knowledge you have acquired have the power to reshape your future,” he said. “True empowerment comes from the ability to stand on your own feet and this training is a step in that direction.”
Trainees received National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC)-approved certificates in fields such as tailoring, computer education, electrical equipment repair and spoken English. These skills are already proving to be life changing: more than 650 graduates from the center have gone on to establish self-sufficient livelihoods, through either employment or entrepreneurship.
Mr. Basak also spoke about TPNODL’s wider efforts in community development, including the deployment of mobile healthcare vans that bring essential medical services to underserved regions. He stressed that initiatives like the VTCs are not just about training individuals but uplifting entire communities through education and opportunity.
The vocational training, conducted under the ROSHNI program, has already touched the lives of over 2,000 youth across Balasore, Bhadrak, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Jajpur districts. The program aims to equip rural and underprivileged youth with market-ready skills, giving them the confidence and capability to build independent, meaningful lives.
For the trainees honoured today, this is more than the end of a training course—it’s the start of a new journey filled with potential, dignity and hope.
