TPWODL Strengthens Power Infrastructure in Bargarh District with Two Key Projects
Bargarh, August 21, 2025: In a major boost to rural and industrial power supply, TP Western Odisha Distribution Limited (TPWODL) has successfully completed two vital power infrastructure projects in Bargarh district to improve electricity reliability for domestic, agricultural and industrial consumers.
The first project is a new 11kV link line between Chhuriapali and Padampur feeders at Sohela PSS, was executed at a cost of ₹1.1 Crore. The Chhuriapali feeder was overloaded, causing low-voltage. With the operation of this new link line, about 120A load has been shifted to the Padampur feeder, increasing voltage from 7.3 kV to 9.8 kV. With this augmentation 170 OLIC consumers are immensely benefited. Similarly, over 1800 households in Khaliapali, Tandol, Chitakhai, Goth, and Kendbahalon area have started getting stable voltage.
The second project is the augmentation of the 11kV Sohela Industrial feeder from Sohela PSS. The old 34 sqmm conductor was replaced with 100 sqmm conductor over 2.5 CKm. With this upgradation 17 OLIC connections, more than 10 industrial consumers & several small enterprises and more than 1,500 domestic consumers have started getting benefit as required voltage and stable power supply.
