Union Agriculture Minister reviews PM-RKVY and Krishonnati Yojana implementation
Bhubaneswar -: The Hon’ble Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and Rural Development Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan reviewed the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana and Krishonnati Yojana today. Agriculture Ministers of all the states of the country joined through video conference. Deputy Chief Minister of Odisha and Minister of Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment, Energy Shri Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo joined through video conference and highlighted the successful implementation of Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana and Krishonnati Yojana in Odisha.
It is worth noting that Odisha has already utilized 79 percent of the funds under Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (PM-RKVY) and 80 percent under Krishonnati Yojana, which is further accelerating the agricultural progress of the state. Six new projects can be started if the Central Government releases the rest of funds as soon as possible.
In the review meeting, the Hon’ble Union Agriculture Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan expressed satisfaction over the progress and proper investment of funds in the agriculture sector of Odisha and called for this trend of development to continue.

PM-RKVY promotes sustainable agriculture, while Krishonnati Yojana focuses on food security and self-sufficiency. Odisha’s initiatives include natural farming, crop diversification, and millet promotion, making it a model for agricultural development.
