Cuttack, May 28, 2026:Strengthening its commitment to rural prosperity and sustainable farming, Dalmia Bharat Foundation (DBF), the corporate social responsibility (CSR) arm of Dalmia Bharat Ltd., supported 23 farmers in Cuttack through distribution of agricultural equipment aimed at improving irrigation and farm productivity.As a part of the initiative, DBFdistributed battery-operated sprayers to 13 farmers and 2 HP petrol-based motor pumps to 10 farmers cultivating paddy. Under its Gram Parivartan Project, DBF has been supporting farmers with 2 HP petrol-based motor pumps and sprayers since 2023 benefiting 340 farmerstill date.
The event was graced by the presence of Shri Debi Prasad Das, Unit Head KCW, and Shri Jagadish Bala, Technical Head KCW, who encouraged the farmers to adopt improved practices for long-term prosperity, along with the Sarpanch and village leaders.
Commenting on the initiative,Shri Debi Prasad Das, Unit Head, Kapilas Cement Works, said,“Agriculture continues to be the primary source of livelihood for thousands of rural families, and improving access to basic farm infrastructure remains critical for sustainable growth. Through this initiative we aim to enable farmers with greater efficiency in cultivation and strengthen sustainable farming practices at the grassroots level.”
Launched to drive holistic rural development, the Gram Parivartan Project focuses on interventions across agriculture, water conservation, skill development, horticulture, livestock, and micro-enterprises. By promoting self-reliant villages, the project continues to strengthen livelihoods and build long-term community resilience across rural India.
