Recognition Prior Learning Course’ on Mobile Repairing by Tata Steel and CTTC inaugurated at Gobarghati

Kalinganagar: With an objective to provide job-linked training to the local youths, a 10-day ‘Recognition of Prior Learning’ course on ‘Mobile Phone Hardware Repair & Technician’ programme was inaugurated by Resettlement and Rehabilitation (R&R) Department of Tata Steel Kalinganagar (TSK) in association with Central Tool Room & Training Centre (CTTC), Bhubaneswar at Community Centre, Gobarghati Colony, Phase 1, near Duburi under Jajpur district of Odisha on Wednesday.
More than 50 youths from relocated families and nearby villages participated in the inaugural session who will be joining the programme. The inaugural session was graced by Srikant Kumar Pati, Training in-charge, CTTC in the presence of community leaders including Birendra Jamuda, Suresh Haibru, Lal Mohan Soy, Laxman Jamuda, Jagamohan Jamuda, Suresh Jamuda, Krushna Haibru, and Rabindra Jenamani.
Addressing the participants, Subrat Mahapatra, Head, R&R, TSK encouraged the participants and emphasised on the need to increase the skill level of local youths through training and competency development.
Srikant Kumar Pati, Training in-charge, CTTC informed the participants regarding the activities carried out by their team for the upcoming 10 days and encouraged them to participate.
This 10-day training programme on Mobile Repair Techniques from July 5th to July 15th, 2023, will enhance the skills of unemployed youths and help them become self-employed in the mobile technology sector.
Upon successful completion of the programme, the participants will be given certificates from CTTC, Bhubaneswar.
It may be noted here that this 10-day programme is part of Tata Steel’s endeavour to enhance the employability and income of the relocated families.
