Bhubaneswar : An administrative Official of the AIIMS Bhubaneswar was brutally attacked by a group of miscreants while he was returning home on Saturday night. The employee identified as Praveen Kumar Pathak. While he was returning to his residence near ITER college some miscreants near Suango Cricket Field stopped him and allegedly tried to snatch his valuable belongings. In an attempt to free from the situation he resisted indefence, in the scuffle he recieves grievous injury in his head.
Some AIIMS staffs and Locals helped him to escape from the incidence. While, a local who tried to help him was also attacked by the miscreants. Miscreants snatched a gold chain(30gm) from him.
He has lodged a complaint in this regard at Khandagiri police station.
