Bhubaneswar: Under the banner of the Aaradhya Charitable Trust, blankets were distributed to the homeless people who were spending the night on the roadside at Master Canteen and Raj Mahal area in Bhubaneswar amid extreme cold.
Trust members also distributed blankets to needy patients in the leprosy colony.
Managing Trustee Sagarika Satapathy, other members of the trust, S. Susmita Kumari, Sarita Joshi, Gayatri Routray, Shivbrat Mohanty, Babul Kumar and Aradhya Guru were present during this social activity.
The Aaradhya Trust, besides making the disabled self-reliant by setting up shops, provides free computer education to college students in rural areas, giving sewing machines to girls living in school hostels, provides relief materials to those whose houses have been burnt during fires and cyclones, organizes free health camps, organizes Jala Chhatra during the summer season and blood donation camps. In addition, it continues its service work in many orphanages and old age homes.
