Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor recently unveiled the trailer for his upcoming film, “Animal,” directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. At a trailer launch event attended by co-stars Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, and producers Bhushan Kumar and Pranav Reddy Vanga, Kapoor provided insights into the film, describing it as an adult-rated version of Karan Johar’s “Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.”

In “Animal,” scheduled to hit screens on December 1, the narrative revolves around the turbulent relationship between Ranbir’s character, Arjun Singh, and his father, Balbir Singh, portrayed by Anil Kapoor. Kapoor defined the film as a narrative about a man willing to go to any lengths to protect his family, promising a storyline enriched with complex emotions and intricate character exploration.

Acknowledging the complexity of his character in “Animal,” Ranbir Kapoor dubbed it the most intricate role of his career. He praised director Sandeep Reddy Vanga for infusing the characters with diverse emotions and complexities, emphasizing the importance of an actor’s ability to switch on and off emotionally, particularly in intense roles.

Bobby Deol, cast as the antagonist in “Animal,” shared a unique anecdote about how Sandeep Reddy Vanga approached him for the role after stumbling upon a photograph from the actor’s pre-filmmaking days. Despite their on-screen adversarial dynamic, Bobby and Ranbir displayed a genuine bromance during the trailer launch, with Bobby commending Ranbir’s acting prowess and humility.

Rashmika Mandanna, who plays Geetanjali, the wife of Ranbir’s character, commended Kapoor for his ability to create a comfortable atmosphere on set, resulting in natural on-screen chemistry. She also lauded director Sandeep Reddy Vanga for his unapologetically real storytelling, highlighting the film’s portrayal of authentic lives without sugarcoating.

The trailer for “Animal” offers a glimpse into a hyper-masculine and violent world, prompting Ranbir Kapoor to emphasize that the film’s violence delves beyond physical actions. He suggested that the narrative prompts audiences to contemplate societal norms, morality, and the consequences of individual actions.

While acknowledging that he hadn’t personally experienced the events depicted in the film, Ranbir Kapoor revealed a subconscious connection to the story, drawing parallels to his late father, veteran actor Rishi Kapoor. The actor credited director Sandeep Reddy Vanga for crafting a narrative that stirred personal emotions.
