Berhampur, 21st March 2025: Odisha Vigilance has arrested Sri Khetramohan Nayak, Panchayat Executive Officer (PEO) of Radhadeipur Gram Panchayat under Sanakhemundi Block, Ganjam district, for misappropriating ₹43,01,640/- from various government accounts. The accused abused his official position by forging the Sarapanch’s signature to withdraw funds from Axis Bank and Canara Bank, Digapahandi Branch.
Preliminary investigations reveal that Nayak, who joined government service in July 2024, had been diverting funds from CFC, SFC, PDS, and OAP accounts for betting on cricket and gaming apps.
A case has been registered under Berhampur Vigilance PS Case No. 03/2025 under relevant sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 (as amended in 2018) and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The investigation is ongoing.
