Honest 108 ambulance crew returns belongings to injured patient

Bhubaneswar: Showing utmost honesty two 108 ambulance crew members from Khurda district had received praise and accolades from all sections as they returned valuables of those injured in two separate accidents. 

Krishna Kumari Moharana (45) and Kishan Moharana (25) of Balipadar village in Khurda district were returning to Balipadar from Bhubaneswar on a bike at around 6.30AM on Wednesday. Both the bikers sustained serious injury when the bike lost balance and met with an accident as a dog came in front of their vehicle at Pichukuli Square in Khurda district. Getting the information from the locals, a 108 ambulance rushed to the spot and rescued the injured duo. During the rescue, 108 ambulance driver Chittaranjan Sahu, E.M.T. Sudhanshu Kumar Ransingh and assistant Deepak Pradhan found two mobile phones, two purses and watches from the accident spot. After which the ambulance crew admitted them at Khurda District Headquarters Hospital and handed over all the belongings to their relatives.

In another incident, Rajendra Nayak (21) of Chhanaghar village in Jatni block of Khurda district sustained serious injury when a Tata AC hit his vehicle at Jatni Gate Nikat while he was on his way to office at around 9.30 AM on Wednesday. After receiving information from the locals, 108 ambulance reached the spot and rescued the injured. Meanwhile, the driver of the 108 ambulance, Rakesh Kumar Ghadei, E.M.T. Amiya Maharshi and helper Mrutyunjay Jena recovered a mobile phone, purse and Rs. 5,000 in cash from the injured. The ambulance crew admitted them to AIIMS hospital while handed over all the valuables of the injured to their relatives. The ambulance crew receives praise from all corners for their honesty.
