Bhubaneswar, 30th December 2025: Manipal Hospital Bhubaneswar, a unit of one of India’s leading healthcare networks, Manipal Hospitals Group, announced the launch of MAHI (Manipal Hospitals Healthy India), its new retail-focused preventive health and wellness platform, in the presence of Sri Babu Singh, Hon’ble MLA, Ekamra Constituency, Bhubaneswar and Dr. Saktimay Mahapatra, Cluster Director – South East, Manipal Hospital. The launch event, attended by senior clinicians and key stakeholders, highlighted the growing importance of wellness-led, preventive healthcare in India.

Industry estimates indicate that the preventive health market is expected to reach ₹16,000+ crore by 2026, growing at a 22% CAGR, while the health check-up market alone is projected to cross ₹10,000 crore by 2030. Post-COVID consumer surveys show a 40% shift towards preventive care and a 94% increase in overall health awareness. At the same time, India continues to face a significant chronic disease burden, with over 270 million people living with or at risk of chronic conditions—reinforcing the urgent need for early screening and regular health checks.

MAHI was introduced as a friendly, dependable, and personalised health and wellness companion from Manipal Hospitals, designed to make preventive care simpler, more accessible, and more relevant to everyday life. Positioned as a consumer-facing quick-response system with a humanised personality, MAHI aims to support individuals and families across their health journey—from health information and screenings to consultations, vaccinations, and beyond.

Initiatives like MAHI play a vital role in creating awareness about early diagnosis, regular health check-ups, and timely medical intervention. By making preventive healthcare more accessible and consumer-friendly, Manipal Hospitals is contributing meaningfully to public health and encouraging citizens to prioritise wellness before illness.”

Accessible through digital platforms such as website and app, as well as assisted channels within hospitals and communities, MAHI was presented as a simpler, more engaging way for individuals and families to stay proactive about their health—from routine screenings to expert consultations and timely immunisation.
Commenting on the launch, Dr. Saktimay Mahapatra, Cluster Director – South East, Manipal Hospital, said, “Preventive healthcare is the foundation of a healthier society. At Manipal Hospital Bhubaneswar, we strongly believe that early detection, regular health screenings, and timely preventive interventions can significantly reduce the burden of chronic diseases. With the launch of MAHI, we are empowering individuals and families to take charge of their health proactively, make informed decisions, and adopt preventive care as a part of their everyday lifestyle.”

Manipal Hospitals’ leadership reiterated that preventive healthcare should become an annual habit for every individual, not just a reaction to illness. By combining digital access, curated health packages, and trusted clinical expertise, MAHI is positioned as a positive lifestyle choice—keeping people engaged, informed, and healthier over the long term.
