Cuttack, March 6, 2025: Odisha Vigilance has conducted extensive searches at multiple locations linked to Sri Pradeep Kumar Mohanty, Deputy Commissioner, State Transport Authority (STA), Cuttack, and uncovered disproportionate assets worth crores. The searches have led to the discovery of high-value properties, cash, gold, luxury vehicles, and other assets.
During the searches, the following properties and assets have been unearthed so far:
Immovable Assets
- Four multi-storeyed buildings including:
- A triple-storeyed residential building (approx. 2400 sqft) at Maitri Vihar, Chandrasekharpur, Bhubaneswar.
- A five-storeyed under-construction building at Govindaprasad, Khordha.
- One triple-storeyed under-construction building (approx. 7500 sqft) at Balukhand, Puri (suspected to be benami).
- A building at his native village in Tangi, Khordha.
- Luxury Apartment: Payment of approx. ₹1 crore made by Sri Mohanty for a 4-BHK flat (T-1-9-C) in 9 Bolevard Apartment, Raghunathpur, Bhubaneswar, in the name of Sri Mohanty and his spouse.
- A Farmhouse: Spread over 14.78 decimals at Kusupalla, Nayagarh.
- 11 high-value plots located in Bhubaneswar, Khordha, Ranapur, Nayagarh, along with an agricultural land of 11.08 decimals at Kusupal, Ranpur, Nayagarh.
Movable Assets
- Cash: ₹15 lakh recovered during searches.
- Gold & Ornaments:
- 3 gold biscuits (each weighing 100 gms).
- Gold ornaments weighing approximately 700 gms.
- Luxury Vehicles:
- Three 4-wheelers: Mahindra XUV-700, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, and Maruti Suzuki Swift (suspected benami).
- One 2-wheeler: Bullet.
- Bank, Postal, and Insurance Investments: Deposits and other financial assets are under verification.
The Vigilance Technical Wing is currently assessing the exact valuation of these assets. Further investigation is underway to ascertain additional assets and their sources.
