Odisha Agro PSUs Strengthen State Revenue with ₹6.39 Crore Dividend

Bhubaneswar: In line with the provisions of Section 123 of the Companies Act, 2013, and in compliance with directives issued by the Finance Department, Government of Odisha, three Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) under the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Empowerment have collectively paid a dividend of ₹6,39,97,589 to the Odisha Government.
As per Office Circular No. 3980 dated 17 February 2016 and Circular No. 30885 dated 7 November 2025, PSUs are mandated to pay 30 per cent of their Profit After Tax (PAT) as annual dividend. Accordingly, Odisha Agro-Industries Corporation (OAIC), Odisha State Seeds Corporation Limited (OSSC) and Odisha State Cashew Development Corporation Limited (OSCDC), following recommendations of their respective Boards of Directors and approval of shareholders at the Annual General Meetings, released the dividend amount today at Lok Seva Bhavan.
The dividend contribution includes ₹5,23,74,222 from Odisha Agro-Industries Corporation for the financial year 2023–24, ₹23,20,967 from Odisha State Seeds Corporation Limited for the financial year 2021–22, and ₹93,02,400 from Odisha State Cashew Development Corporation Limited for the financial years 2022–23 and 2023–24.
The dividend was formally presented in the gracious presence of Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Empowerment & Energy, Shri Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, who received a symbolic cheque on behalf of the State Government.
These state-owned enterprises have demonstrated consistent financial performance while playing a pivotal role in strengthening the agriculture sector and empowering farmers across Odisha. Through their sustained profitability and developmental initiatives, the corporations continue to contribute significantly to the State’s economic growth and the achievement of sustainable development goals.
Also present on the occasion were Dr. Arabinda Kumar Padhee, Principal Secretary and Chairman of Corporations under the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Empowerment, senior officials of Odisha Agro-Industries Corporation, Shri Subrat Kumar Panda, Managing Director, Odisha State Cashew Development Corporation, and Shri Niti Ranjan Sen, Managing Director, Odisha State Seeds Corporation Limited.
