Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Women in Media organization marked its Foundation Day and Award Ceremony with a grand celebration in Bhubaneswar. The event honored the unwavering commitment of women in the media industry, recognizing their resilience in overcoming various challenges.
Deputy Chief Minister of Odisha, Prabhati Parida, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and inaugurated the program. Addressing the gathering, she emphasized the crucial role of women’s safety in building a developed and progressive Odisha.
“The government alone cannot ensure a safe environment for women without the active support of society at large. It is the responsibility of all of us to make Odisha a secure place for women. To achieve this, we must work together to establish Bhubaneswar as a model city for women’s safety,” said Deputy CM Prabhati Parida.
The event also featured several dignitaries from the media and corporate sectors who lauded the contributions of women journalists and media professionals. Awards were presented to outstanding women in media for their dedication and excellence in journalism, content creation, and public relations.
