IB Thermal, 11/03/2026: As part of its CSR initiative, Odisha Power Generation Corporation Ltd. (OPGC) organized an eye check-up camp today at the Gram Panchayat office of Telenpali under Lakhanpur block of Jharsuguda district. The camp was conducted in collaboration with Care Netram LLP. The camp was inaugurated by Director (Operation) of OPGC Sri Anjana Ranjan Dash, in presence of Sr. VP (Operation) Sri Sukanta Mohapatra, Chief Medical Officer of IB Thermal Hospital Dr. Sangeeta Panda, Advisor CSR Sri Prafulla Kumar Dhal, along with Sarpanch of Telenpali GP Sri Akash Sahu. Senior Manager, CSR Sri Himansu Bhusan Behera and members of the OPGC CSR team Sri Tapas Kumar Panda, Sri Amar Kumar Singh co-ordinated the camp.
The medical team from Care Netram conducted eye screenings, focusing on cataracts, vision problems, and other eye-related conditions. The camp, which ran from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, saw participation from 394 patients from villages under Telenpali GP and other adjacent gram panchayats. Among the attendees, 22 individuals were diagnosed with cataracts and will were taken for free cataract surgery at Mahanadi Netra Chikistyalaya, Jharsuguda which is another partner in this camp. In addition, 301 patients were provided with free prescription glasses.
The camp was coordinated by OPGC CSR team members Himansu Bhusan Behera, Tapas Kumar Panda and Amar Kumar Singh.
