Over 130 Young Participants Join Epsilon’s National Youth Day Celebration in Jharsuguda

Jharsuguda : Epsilon Carbon Pvt. Ltd., through its CSR arm Epsilon Foundation, celebrated National Youth Day with a community youth engagement programme near PHC Ground, Sripura village in Jharsuguda district. The initiative brought together 130 young participants, including 100 women and 30 men, from Sripura and Sunamal villages to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, which is also celebrated as National Youth Day.

The programme was conducted with support of Self-Help Group members, youth volunteers, PRI representatives and residents. This event was organised in partnership with Magic Bus India Foundation to encourage leadership, teamwork, healthy lifestyles, and a spirit of nation-building among young people of Jharsuguda.

The celebration was inaugurated by Mrs. Jasobanti Pandey, Sarpanch of Sripura, and Dr. Lasika Rath, Medical Officer, PHC Sripura, along with community health institutions and representatives from Epsilon Jharsuguda. Speakers reflected on Swami Vivekananda’s vision for youth empowerment and the continued relevance of his teachings in shaping confident, socially responsible citizens.

The program included, 10 sports and recreational activities were organised to promote physical fitness, teamwork, and active participation. Winners were felicitated with prizes by the village leadership, creating an atmosphere of enthusiasm and encouragement.

Sharing her perspective, Mrs. Jasobanti Pandey, Sarpanch of Sripura, said: “It was encouraging to see the women and youth of Sripura village participate with such confidence in the programme organised by Epsilon and Magic Bus. Sports and recreational activities play an important role in promoting both mental and physical well-being. I thank both organisations for bringing this initiative to our village and hope they continue to organise similar programmes for our community.”
