Puri: Tata Consulting Engineers (TCE), a top multidisciplinary engineering consultancy, played a pivotal role as the Programme Management Consultant (PMC) having scope of Architectural design, Detailed design and Project Management under the ABADHA Scheme, successfully delivering and overseeing transformative projects in Puri. This work highlights TCE’s commitment to shaping the future and advancing urban infrastructure.
This initiative aims to not only bolster the city’s heritage and cultural significance but also provide essential amenities that cater to both residents and the inflow of tourists. Some of the projects undertaken are:
- Puri Municipal Market, Bada Danda: This project revitalised the local market infrastructure. The five-floor building, featuring parking facilities and numerous shops, now provides modern amenities and enhanced shopping experiences for the community.
- Multi-Level Car Parking at Jail Road: This four-floor parking facility addresses the critical need for organised parking in Puri. It includes extensive parking spaces and shops, reducing congestion and enhancing urban mobility.
- Mahodadhi Market Complex, Mochi Sahi: This project created a vibrant business hub. The six-floor complex includes parking, shops, and office spaces, boosting local commerce with modern facilities.
- Pandit Utkalmani Gopabandhu Das Birthplace Memorial and Museum, Suando: This comprehensive renovation project spans 14.7 acres. It includes a memorial, museum, visitor centre, and landscaping, preserving cultural heritage and transforming the site into a significant tourist and educational destination.
- Odia University: This project, which covers 8.6 acres and includes various educational and administrative facilities, enhances educational infrastructure. With specific objective for development of Odia language, it fosters academic excellence and provides state-of-the-art amenities for students and faculty.
- JBPC and Shree Setu: This is a significant infrastructure initiative to improve connectivity and urban development in Puri, contributing to the city’s growth and modernisation.
- Musa River Development Phase I: This project, focused on enhancing riverfront development and environmental conservation, aims to improve the ecological and aesthetic value of the Musa River.
- Samangha Parking: This project expands parking infrastructure to meet the growing urban demands, alleviating congestion and improving accessibility in Puri.
- Dharmshala, Baselisahi: Providing accommodation and amenities for pilgrims and visitors, this project enhances the religious tourism experience, supporting the local economy and cultural heritage.
