Addressing the institute’s 75th Foundation Day, Adani noted that modern conflicts are no longer fought in battlefields but in cyberspace.
“The wars of today are invisible — waged in server farms instead of trenches, with algorithms replacing guns. Empires are now built on data centres, and armies comprise botnets rather than battalions,” he remarked.

The industrialist cautioned that India’s heavy reliance on imports poses serious risks. Nearly 90 per cent of semiconductors are brought from abroad, and any disruption or sanction could paralyse the nation’s digital economy, he said.

On energy security, Adani pointed out that India imports 85 per cent of its oil, leaving growth vulnerable to geopolitical shocks. He further added that dependence on foreign military systems ties the nation’s security to the supply chains and political agendas of other countries.

“When our data flows across borders, it becomes fuel for foreign algorithms, generating external wealth and reinforcing global dominance,” he cautioned.

Adani stressed that in the era of technology-driven power struggles, India’s ability to safeguard its digital, energy, and military independence will be the key to shaping its destiny.
