Testimonial program held by the 108 Ambulance at Kandhamal
Kandhamal: In an effort to get the feedback from the beneficiary of ambulance
service of the Kandhamal District, a Testimonial activity was held on Saturday at
Hotel Kepi Salunki of Kandhamal district. Being present on the occasion, Mr
Sabyasachi Biswal, state head, Ziqitza Health Care Limited. – agency responsible
for 108 ambulance operation in the state shared his thoughts and discussed with
Doctors, ASHA workers, Nurse and beneficiaries on various aspects of 108
ambulance operation. Total 40-50 numbers of beneficiaries were participated in
the meeting, where they gave their valuable feedback about 108 ambulance
services. Other dignitaries present in the meeting are Mr. Manoranjan Sahoo,
DPM, Kandhamal Dist. Hospital, Mr Samir Rout, Dist. Sadar police station IIC, and
Mr Ashok Ku Giri, IIC, Dist town police station.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Sabyasachi Biswal, State Head-ZHL, Odisha said,
“The 108 ambulance service was started on 5th March 2013 has expanded
manifold in last 9 years. Our crew members go beyond the call of duty and serve
the society. ZHL always tries to enhance its services, so we have organized this
testimony program at Kandhamal. Where the beneficiary, who have got 108
ambulance services gave their valuable feedback and suggestions. We strongly
believe this feedback process will help us to improve our operation and make the
ambulance service more people centric.”
Currently, the operating agency hosts 624 numbers of 108 ambulances, 500
numbers of 108 Janani ambulance and six 108 boat ambulances in all 30 districts
of Odisha for emergency services. Through 108 ambulance services, a total of
more than 85 lakh people have availed the 108 ambulance service whereas 5000
people have avail boat ambulance. Similarly there are 23 numbers of 108
ambulances are operating in Kandhamal dist. From which 15 are 108 ambulance
and 8 are Janani ambulance.
