TPCODL creates history, 1 million beneficiaries avail discounts by making digital payments
Bhubaneswar, 24 September, 2025: For the convenience of its consumers, TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited (TPCODL), a joint venture of Tata Power and the Government of Odisha has made electricity bill payments easier than ever by enabling multiple digital payment options. This initiative empowers users to pay their bills from the comfort of their homes, without any hassle, while also availing exciting discounts.
Currently, over 1 million TPCODL consumers are experiencing the benefit and convenience of digital payments. To facilitate this, TPCODL offers a wide range of platforms including UPI Payments, Mitra App and other digital platforms. Additionally, QR codes have been provided to consumers for seamless, secure and instant payments.
TPCODL is also sending e-bills to nearly 1 million consumers every month, ensuring timely access to billing information and encouraging digital transactions. Notably, in the first phase of the QR code initiative, 58,440 consumers ( 3-Phase domestic) have already adopted this system. The company is now expanding this initiative to bring even more users under the digital payment ecosystem.
