Balasore – July 24, 2025 – TP Northern Odisha Distribution Limited (TPNODL)’s Meter Testing Laboratory in Balasore has been awarded the prestigious NABL Accreditation (National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories). This significant recognition by NABL is a testament to the lab’s technical competence, adherence to international standards, and commitment to delivering accurate and reliable testing results. More importantly, this milestone directly benefits consumers of Northern Odisha.

With NABL accreditation, the Meter Testing Lab is now officially recognized for its precision and reliability, ensuring that all metering equipment tested here meets the highest standards of accuracy. Notably, the accreditation is also recognized under the ILAC Mutual Recognition Arrangement (ILAC MRA), which lends global credibility to the test results issued by the lab. This international recognition further enhances consumer confidence in the fairness and transparency of metering and billing processes.

The journey to accreditation involved months of rigorous preparation, system upgrades, and unwavering dedication from the Meter Testing Team under the guidance of Mr. Joydip Roy, Chief Commercial and CSR; Mr. Sanjib Kumar Jena, Head of Lab; Mr. Dheeraj Mehta, Quality Manager; Mr. Sumanta Ghosh, Technical Manager; and others. Their efforts have ensured that the lab is equipped to handle complex testing scenarios while maintaining consistency, accuracy, and compliance with global benchmarks.
