Raipur, Chhattisgarh – The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conducted searches today at the residences of senior Congress leader and former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel in Raipur and Bhilai. This comes nearly a month after similar politically motivated raids were carried out by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
The Congress party strongly condemns these repeated attempts to harass and intimidate its leaders through investigative agencies. The misuse of central agencies for political vendetta has become a dangerous trend, undermining democratic institutions and due process. The deployment of CRPF personnel outside Mr. Baghel’s residence further reflects the intent to create an atmosphere of fear and suppression.
Bhupesh Baghel has always been a leader of the people, and such actions will not deter him from continuing his fight for justice, democracy, and the welfare of Chhattisgarh’s citizens. The Congress party stands firmly with him and will continue to oppose any undemocratic actions taken to silence opposition voices.
