Burla: Gajadhar Sahu (80), a resident of Jamankira police station area, was injured in an accident admitted at Burla in Bhimsar from yesterday. The doctor treating him, Pavitra Hemram, asked her patient’s assistant to arrange blood for the patient. There was no O+ blood in Vimsar’s Burla blood bank since yesterday. That’s why his assistant was frustrated that he could not get the required blood. On receiving information from a blood bank staff that 108 ambulance workers were donating blood if needed, they told the 108 ambulance crews there about their need for blood. Samir Behera, the pharmacist of the 108 ambulance deployed at the Fasimal community health centre, came forward to donate blood after getting a the information from a 108 ambulance crew. The hospital authorities have praise the important work done by the ambulance crew.
