Keonjhar: 108 ambulance crew have gave a new of life to a critical patient suffering from anemia. Urmila
Ghadei (35), a resident of Jambira village under Hatdihi block of Keonjhar district, was admitted at
Anandapur SDH Keonjhar as she was anemic. As her condition deteriorated there, the doctor advised
her to immediately collect the O’positive blood group. But even in the hospital at this time, the blood of
this blood group was not available. However, bhagirathi Nayak, a 108 ambulance pilot, who had come to
the same hospital with another patient, came to know about the patient. Fortunately, as his blood group
was the same, he immediately came forward to donate blood without any hesitation and saved the lives
of patients by donating a unit of O’Positive Blood. He is highly praised for his humanity.
