Bhubaneswar Mayor visits the society, appreciates the step

BMC Commissioner also met with the office bearers

Bhubaneswar, 19/07/2023: Setting an example and fulfilling the spirit of Women Empowerment, the Owner Welfare Society of Royal Heritage, Patrapada has elected all female members as its office bearers. This is first of its kind in the smart City of Bhubaneswar. The move will certainly create an example for all and the objective of women empowerment will be in forefront after this step taken by any private society, said President of the society Prisila Parida.

Mayor Sulochana Das, appreciating the decision visited the Royal Heritage Apartment and met with all the female office bearers. shared moments of inspiration. Mayor Das, expressing her extreme happiness over the exemplary decision, congratulated the residents of the apartment for putting confidence and bestowing responsibility on the female members. She interacted with the members and promised her support for the society. She also discussed various programs and schemes of the Government and advised to get involved and do the best for the downtrodden in and around the society.

The Welfare Society members also called on the BMC Commissioner in his office. BMC Commissioner also applauded the decision and congratulated all the lady office bearers.

While Prisila Parida has been elected as the President of the society, Smita Pradhan has been elected as Secretary. Priyadarshini Nayak will act as Vice president and Smitarani Sahoo as Joint Secretary. Mamata Mahapatra has been elected as Treasurer. Eleven lady members have been nominated as the executive committee members of the society.
