Bijahan, Odisha – April 16, 2025 – Mahanadi Mines & Minerals Pvt. Ltd. organised an eye check-up camp in the Bijahan village in Sundararh district, on Wednesday, as part of its ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities for the Bijahan mining project.
The camp aimed to provide better health facilities to the local community and saw participation from 60 villagers who received comprehensive eye examinations from the qualified medical professionals.
The completion of the eye check-up camps has benefited a total of 200 villagers as part of this CSR program. After the examinations, free spectacles will be provided for those identified as having vision impairments in due course. The diagnosis included tests for various vision-related issues, contributing significantly to the early detection and management of common ocular conditions.
In April 2025, eye check-up camps were held in Bhograkachhar, Jharpalam, and Girisima villages. This initiative represents a significant step in the company’s commitment to the well-being of residents in the project area.
