In a significant move, the State Government has approved the establishment of the “Pabitra Mohan Pradhan Medical College & Hospital” in Talcher. The existing Nehru Shatabdi Hospital of MCL will now be known as the “Pabitra Mohan Pradhan Government Hospital” and serve as the teaching hospital for the upcoming medical college.

This decision, outlined in order No. 20135 dated 10.08.2023 by the Health & Family Welfare Department, represents a crucial step in bolstering healthcare infrastructure in the region.
