• 300 Attendees Unite for a Week-Long Celebration, with 210 PWDs Actively Engaging in Cultural Events
Gopalpur: On the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Tata Steel Foundation (TSF) Gopalpur organized a remarkable event in collaboration with the Ganjam District Orthopedically Handicapped Welfare Association on December 3, 2023.

The program commenced with insightful talks highlighting the significance of this day. Starting from November 27, various events were organized throughout the week with the participation of Persons with Disabilities (PWD) students.

The main event aimed to felicitate and encourage their spirit, acknowledging the achievements of PWDs excelling in fields such as medicine, dance, sports, and education.

Distinguished guests graced the occasion, including V. Ajit Kumar Raju, Independent Director, ONGC Pratip Modak, Commandant, Indian Coast Guard, Prof. Prafulla Kumar Mohanty, Vice Chancellor, Khalikot University, L. Gopal Rao, Chatrapur Bar Association, Dr. Sarojini, CDMO, Berhampur, Rocky Martin, Head, Tata Steel Foundation, Gopalpur.

A total of 300 participants, including community members, government officials, PWD students, and more, joined the event. Among them, 210 were Persons with Disabilities who actively participated in various cultural events, including dance and a fashion show.

The event aimed to raise awareness, promote rights, encourage inclusivity, celebrate achievements, and foster support and empowerment for persons with disabilities. The objective was not only to acknowledge their challenges but also to emphasize their immense potential and capabilities.

TSF Gopalpur remains committed to creating an inclusive society where everyone, regardless of abilities, can thrive and contribute to the community.
