Tata Steel launches the first-ever fully automated Construction Service Centre in Odisha
Bhubaneswar: Tata Steel, India’s leading steel producer and a pioneer in the construction solutions industry, yesterday inaugurated the first-ever fully automated construction service centre in Odisha.
This landmark facility, spanning across 11 acres in Tangi, Cuttack, has been created in partnership with Sagar Business Private Limited, a channel partner of Tata Steel.
Equipped with state-of-the-art automatic manufacturing facilities, the centre has a 3000 TPM capacity to produce customised Cut & Bend rebars, Coupler threading, and Welded Wire Mesh.
Ashish Anupam, Chairperson, Marketing & Sales, Long Products, Tata Steel, inaugurated the centre. The event was followed by a customer meet in Bhubaneswar, which was attended by around sixty customers from infrastructure, housing, and industrial sectors along with Tata Steel executives and members from the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) community of Odisha.

The celebration event also featured two distinguished industry speakers who shared their insights on the future of construction and modern construction technologies. Adam Jordan, Asia Pacific lead at Bryden Wood, Australia, delivered a thought-provoking presentation on “Future of Construction in the World”. Yogesh Prabhakar Kajale, Senior VP (Engineering) at B. G. Shirke Construction Technology Private Limited, enlightened the audience with his talk on “Modern Construction Technologies in India”.
