Tata Steel Meramandali Celebrates 36th National Road Safety Month
Meramandali, January 23, 2025: Tata Steel Meramandali (TSM) kick-started the 36th edition of the national road safety month celebration, further strengthening its commitment to enhancing road safety awareness. It is being conducted from January 15 to February 14, 2025 as per the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Transport and Highways aiming at strengthening responsible road usage.
This year’s theme “Be Road Worthy” encourages personal accountability in adherence to traffic regulations and responsibility on the road for the benefit of all.
Throughout the month, TSM has planned a series of events and activities, both on-ground and online, encouraging active participation from employees, contractors and the community to promote traffic safety.
Some key activities planned include the Road Safety Suraksha Rath March, Road Safety month community outreach activities, webinars, quizzes, training on defensive driving, and safety walkthroughs/talks. Furthering the goal of promoting road safety, eye testing camps, vehicle inspections, safety competitions, audits, and recognitions will take place as well. Engagement will be reinforced by activities such as illumination checks, risk survey, and Nukkad Natak and a culture of safety in the workplace will be enhanced as well.
The celebration aims to reduce accidents, encourage compliance with road traffic rules, and foster a culture of safety among all stakeholders.
