Bhubaneswar, March 21, 2025: TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited (TPCODL), a joint venture of Tata Power and Government of Odisha, is prepared to meet the rising electricity demand as temperatures soar in the summer of 2025. With an anticipated peak demand of 2524 MW, TPCODL has undertaken a series of proactive measures to ensure uninterrupted power supply and enhanced reliability.
To strengthen its power distribution capabilities, TPCODL has established a Centralised Power Distribution Technology Centre in Bhubaneswar. This advanced facility enables real-time monitoring of the network through Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and an Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS), ensuring seamless operation of 33kV feeders, primary substations (PSS) and 11kV feeders. Backup power provisions and dedicated communication channels at the Power System Control Centre (PSCC) further reinforce operational continuity.
