TPNODL Hosts Key Consumer Meet at Jajpur
Balasore, January 11, 2025: TP Northern Odisha Distribution Limited (TPNODL), a joint venture between Tata Power and the Government of Odisha, organized a Key Consumer Meet for its High Tension (HT) and Extremely High Tension (EHT) consumers at Hotel Bramhani, Jajpur. The event witnessed participation from over 100 industries, underscoring the importance of collaborative engagement between the power distribution company and its valued consumers.
Mr. Dwijdas Basak, CEO, TPNODL, Mr. Nilesh Pothode, Chief Operations, Mr. Joydip Roy, Chief Commercial & CSR, Mr. Pradeep Mohanty, Chief projects, Mr Sharat ch. Mahallik, Engineer in Chief, Sri Ananta Narayan Senapati, Superintending Engineer, Sri swagat mukharjee, HoG Key consumer group along with other senior management leadership members graced the occasion.
Mr. Basak presented TPNODL’s remarkable transformation over the past three and a half years since the takeover. He highlighted the operational challenges at the time, including waterlogged substations, overloaded power systems, sagging lines, and vegetation-covered infrastructure. On the commercial front, issues like revenue losses, unauthorized electricity use, and outdated customer service models were prevalent.
Mr. Basak highlighted TPNODL’s adoption of advanced technologies like SCADA/ADMS, GIS mapping, drones, and underground cable fault locators to address challenges. He emphasized consumer-centric initiatives like the Key Client Group (KCG) and community engagement programs, which have enhanced reliability and trust. Stressing safety as a core value, he also commended the swift restoration efforts during Cyclone Dana, showcasing TPNODL’s commitment to minimizing disruption.
The interactive session focused on new initiatives, energy conservation measures, and enhancing system reliability in Odisha’s power distribution sector. Consumers praised TPNODL’s efforts in providing reliable power supply and shared valuable feedback to help the company further improve its services.
