TPSODL Strengthen Reliable Supply with New Transformer
Berhampur: To address challenges related to electricity consumption and ensure a reliable power supply, TP Southern Odisha Distribution Limited (TPSODL) has installed a new 5 MVA transformer. This upgrade is benefiting over 3000 consumers in the Titipa Primary Sub-Station (PSS) area.
The newly installed transformer, with a capacity of 5 MVA, replaces the previous system that relied on a single transformer for four feeders: M. Berhampur, Nuapada, Nuagaon, and Tirchana. Among these, M. Berhampur and Nuagaon feeders are consolidated through this new transformer. This consolidation not only minimizes the burden on the system but also reduces disruptions during the maintenance of the PSS.
On the other hand, recognizing the role of electricity in the livelihoods of farmers, TPSODL has prioritized the installation of this new transformer. This farming zone, primarily focused on fisheries agriculture, heavily depends on electricity for various aspects of their livelihoods. In addition to this, the Nuapada feeder, continue with the old 5 MVA transformer, electricity is supplied to essential facilities such as the block office, Tehsil office, and a hospital and M. Berhampur feeder connected with to essential facilities such as the Fishery and primary Health center.
