B2B Exhibition & Adventure Tourism Workshop Set the Stage for Odisha’s Tourism Growth at 6th Odisha Travel bazaar 2025
25th February 2025, Bhubaneswar: The B2B exhibition of the 6th edition of Odisha Travel Bazaar (OTB) 2025 commenced today at Swosti Premium, Bhubaneswar, bringing together Domestic Tour Operators and sellers (tour operators/hoteliers) from Odisha under one roof. Organised by the Department of Tourism, Government of Odisha, in collaboration with FICCI, the three-day event aims to position Odisha as a leading tourism and investment hub through strategic B2B (Business-to-Business) and B2G (Business-to-Government) engagements.
Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister Smt. Pravati Parida inaugurated the B2B exhibition at Swosti Premium. 100+ buyers from Statessuch as Assam, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Goa, Gujarat, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Bengal participated in the event. Pre-Scheduled, Structured B2B meetings between the Buyers and Sellers were carried out. The event also witnessed over 3,000 pre-scheduled B2B meetings between 70+ sellers from Odisha’s tourism sector and the domestic and international tour operators, fostering future collaborations and business engagements.
As part of the 6th Odisha Travel Bazaar 2025, anAdventure Tourism Workshopwas organised atMayfair Lagoon, Bhubaneswar. The workshop brought together key stakeholders from the tourism industry, Government officials, and adventure tourism experts to shape the future of Odisha’s adventure tourism landscape.

Our goal is to lay the foundation for Odisha’s tourism growth over the next 50 years, ensuring it remains a top destination for adventure and exploration,” emphasised Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister Smt. Pravati Parida.

Odisha has truly become a magnet, bringing together all stakeholders for the 6th Odisha Travel Bazaar, making it a pivotal workshop for the future of tourism,”said Director General, Ministry of Tourism, Smt. Mugdha Sinha IAS.

Odisha is truly blessed, with untapped shoreline, dense forest cover, temples, waterfalls, RAMSAR sites, sanctuaries— you name it and we have it all. Our state is engaged in a visioning exercise for 2036 and 2047, with tourism at the heart of our growth strategy,” said DC-cum-ACS, Government of Odisha, Smt. Anu Garg IAS.
The workshop commenced with a context-setting session by Commissioner-cum-Secretary Tourism Shri Balwant Singh IAS. “Odisha is blessed with the perfect landscape for adventure tourism, from its pristine coastline to its majestic hills and rivers. This workshop is a step towards creating structured guidelines that ensure sustainability, safety, and world-class experiences for adventurers in our state,” he highlighted.
A key highlight of the workshop was the presentation of the Draft Odisha Adventure Tourism Guidelines 2025 by Director Tourism Shri Samarth Verma IAS, which set the foundation for discussions on regulatory frameworks, strategic pillars, adventure potential destinations,and best practices to promote safe and sustainable adventure tourism in the state. “From hot air ballooning to bungee jumping, from kayaking to winch parasailing, Odisha has the right kind of destinations to accommodate every kind of adventure tourism,” said Shri Verma.
The workshop saw active participation from 40+ adventure tourism operators, travel experts, and enthusiasts from various genres like water sports, aero sports, terrestrial sports who shared their experiences and challenges in growing the sector.
